QUICK! Close Your Eyes! Close Your Eyes! Wait. Now you can't read anything. Dammit. If you bothered not to follow my instructions, below is the first of many perverted posts by yours truly, Bishop Doc Magic Negro. I was told to mention that since someone unnamed didn't want my pervertedness mistakenly associated with himself and his clean cut Donnie Osmond image. Now onto the pervertedness.

The year was 1992. Madonna was at the top of her game. And she was about to make one of the wildest moves of her career. To coincide with the release of her album Erotica, the same album that featured the song Justify My Love, Madonna would drop the metallic covered coffee book, Sex. Sex featured graphic photographs of nudity, depicting simulated sexual acts. Along with the photographs were pages of bold serial killer style writings and poetry featuring quotes such as,

There's something comforting about being tied up. Like when you were a baby and your mother strapped you in the car seat.

and

When I was a child I used to sit on the toilet backward and wait for the burning sensation between my legs to go away. I did not understand that if only my finger had made it to my [meow] the aching would have subsided.

The book also featured guest appearances from some of the top stars of the day like Isabella Rosellini, Naomi Campbell, Vanilla Ice, Ice Baby, and, none other than the Smooth Operator, Big Daddy Kane. Yep. Kane and Vanilla Ice mentioned in the same sentence. I guess that tells you that this is the point where many people feel Kane fell off.

Big Daddy Kane was in crossover mode after 1991. He had dropped the hated on R&B tinged Prince Of Darkness, and in 92 Kane was taking the lover man image to the next level. And what says lover man more than having your dark brown hand up in Madonna's white I-talian cootch, with leopard skinned drawers on to boot. Add Madonna getting slopped on by some hot piece of mama who I think is Naomi Campbell, situated in a subtle white meat sandwich with wheat bread, and what you have here is one of the most memorable images in hip-hop.
